Dears in Christ,

It's my privilege to write to you through this forum. This is my prayer that God may bless each and every one of you who have taken time to read His Word.

Jesus Christ: The name sparks various imageries based on one's personal experiences and one's needs. Earlier if I was to think about Jesus, I would picture a gentle and meek Jesus, carrying a lamb. Pretty much like the one we see in paintings, with a halo around His head. But when we read and understand the book of Revelation, that's not the Jesus we see. There we see a Jesus, dressed in a robe reaching down to His feet, and with a golden sash around His chest, the hair on His head, white like a wool, as white as snow, and His eyes  like a blazing fire. His feet, like bronze glowing in a furnace, and His voice  like the sound of rushing waters.

 Now we take a pause here, and explore a bit on His Voice.

His voice resembled the sound of rushing waters. It's very interesting to note that this voice as of a rushing water is mentioned elsewhere in Old Testament. In the book of Ezekiel chapter 43, when the God's glory returns to the temple, the prophet mentions a similar voice.

“And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and His voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with His glory.”

Ezekiel 43:2 KJV

That is the Jesus who was slain for us. Changing the way we look at Him, will change the way we approach Him.

When John receives this revelation, he mentions another interesting thing, in Revelation 1:10, "On the Lord's day I was in the Spirit, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet." Why couldn't God appear to him in the front, why from the back? Why should the voice appear from behind? It's interesting to note that this is not the first time God alludes to "voice from behind".

In Isaiah 30:21 we have a similar picture,

“And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, this is the way, walk ye in it,

when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.”

 Isaiah 30:21 KJV

Beloved in Christ, what voices do you hear every day? Is it a voice that doubts everything? Is it a voice that doubts if God is really there? Is it a voice that speaks of negativity, pessimism, and defeat? Is it a voice that incites you to sin? Or is it a voice, which speaks of your victory and your righteousness in Christ?

Ezra Taft Banson, writes this, "Some of the greatest battles will be fought within the silent chambers of your own soul."

Please be mindful of the voice that speaks to you. Let the voice of Jesus speak to you always. And may you practice to listen His voice amidst the conflicting and doubting voices that tend to suffocate you. His voice is the voice of Love. It brings peace to the heart and quietness in spirit.

It tells you that Jesus Loves You,

again and again.

It will ask you to Rejoice.

It will be like a salve for your soul.
